
The Okazaki Digital Art Night Festival is a media arts festival held in Okazaki, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu.
The Okazaki Castle and other cultural and tourist resources unique to Okazaki and utilizing cutting-edge technology will be used to create digital art content in public spaces that sublimate history and tradition.
By welcoming digital artists and visitors from Japan and abroad, we aim to make Okazaki a city of advanced technology and media arts with a rich history, and to create a new cultural movement through exchange and co-creation with Okazaki citizens and next-generation creators to pass on a vibrant regional society to the future.

The 75th Fireworks Display at Okazaki Castle Ieyasu Summer Festival
In conjunction with the "75th Fireworks Display at Okazaki Castle Summer Festival" and the first live terrestrial broadcast of the fireworks display by TV Aichi, which celebrated its 40th anniversary, the Okazaki Castle Keep, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu and one of Japan's 100 most famous castles, is decorated with a motif of Okazaki's culture, history and traditional industry "Mikawa fireworks". The projection mapping of digital art contents will be projected on the castle tower, which is the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu and is one of the 100 most famous castles in Japan.

Okazaki Castle Projection Mapping 2023
In conjunction with the broadcast of the NHK Taiga Drama "Dousuru Ieyasu" and the opening of the "Dousuru Ieyasu Okazaki Taiga Drama Museum." Projection mapping images sublimating the culture and historical traditions of Okazaki City were projected on the Okazaki Castle Keep, one of Japan's 100 famous castles and birthplace of Ieyasu Tokugawa.

In conjunction with the broadcast of the NHK Taiga Drama "Dousuru Ieyasu", digitally animated projection mapping images were projected on the three gates and main building of Daijuji Temple, a family temple of the Matsudaira and Tokugawa shoguns, using armor and dragons, the symbol of Tokugawa Ieyasu, cultural assets that Okazaki City is proud of, and Mikawa fireworks as motifs

Okazaki Digital Art Night Festival Workshop Program
This event invited international art director/digital artist Jack Hung and other lecturers to help the next generation of creators improve their skills in digital art as an art form and projection mapping as a technology through group work. The projection mapping images created by the group were projected onto the 16.4meter wide and 11meter high Otemon Gate, the main entrance to Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu.

This initiative also aims to promote the appeal of Japan to the world, promote culture and the arts, revitalize local communities, and nurture the next generation of human resources.
