Okazaki Castle Projection Mapping 2023 

Okazaki City and Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council will hold "Okazaki Castle Projection Mapping 2023" at Okazaki Castle (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) from January 20 (Fri) to 22 (Sun), 2023.

This event will be held in conjunction with the broadcast of the NHK Taiga Drama "Dousuru Ieyasu" and the opening of the "Dousuru Ieyasu Okazaki Taiga Drama Museum." Projection mapping images sublimating the culture and historical traditions of Okazaki City will be projected on the Okazaki Castle Keep, one of Japan's 100 famous castles and birthplace of Ieyasu Tokugawa.

In conjunction with the projection mapping, "Okazaki Park Digital Lighting" will be held at the same time, in which various spots in Okazaki Park will be lit up with digital lights.

Admission is free and no advance registration is required.

Please come and see the finale of the third of the three main programs of the "Okazaki Digital Art Night Festival," a projection mapping show that will glamorously illuminate the night of Okazaki, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, with state-of-the-art digital art.

*This project was adopted by the Agency for Cultural Affairs' “Japan Cultural Expo“ 2022 as a project to promote the utilization of cultural resources.

*Continuous projection of approximately 7 minutes of content with an intermission of approximately 3 minutes.

*The same video can be viewed at any time of the day, so we recommend coming as late in the day as possible.

*In case of rain, the projection may be temporarily suspended or cancelled.

Public transportation: 15 minutes on foot from Meitetsu "Higashi Okazaki Station

15 minutes on foot from Aichi Kanjo Railway "Naka Okazaki Station"

From Meitetsu "Higashi-Okazaki Station", take bus No. 4 bound for "Kosei-cho", get off at "Kosei-cho" and walk about 5 minutes

From JR "Okazaki Station", take the bus bound for "Kosei-cho", get off at "Kosei-cho" and walk about 5 minutes

Car: From Tomei Expressway "Okazaki IC", approx. 3 km toward Nagoya

Parking fee: 7:00-22:00 100 yen/30 min. 22:00-7:00 the next day 50 yen/30 min.

*The maximum fee is 1,500 yen and available 24 hours a day.

・ Please refrain from visiting those who are not in good physical condition due to fever.

・Those who have tested positive for novel coronavirus infection, those who are recognized by the health center as having had close contact with a patient with novel coronavirus infection, and those who are waiting at home or elsewhere after returning or entering Japan are requested not to participate.

・ Please carefully judge the visit of those who are considered to be liable to become seriously ill when infected (elderly people / people with underlying illness).
