Started the recruitment of works for "Okazaki Castle Otemon Digital Painting"

Okazaki City and Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council will accept applications for "Okazaki Castle Otemon Digital Painting".

This event called for "digital coloring pictures" featuring the Okazaki Castle Otemon Gate. Selected works will be projected as intermission contents for "Okazaki Castle Otemon Projection Mapping 2022" to be held at Okazaki Castle Otemon (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture) from December 23 (Fri) to 25 (Sun), 2022.

Application is free and open to all.

This is a rare opportunity to project your work on the 16.4 meter wide and 11 meter high Otemon Gate at the front entrance of Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu. We hope you will join us.

*All entries must be original, unpublished works that do not infringe on the rights of anyone other than the entrant. The organizer and third parties may freely use the submitted works in any media without limitation and free of charge. Please agree to the other terms of participation before submitting your work.

*Please note that your entry may not be selected for the projection mapping projection work.

*This project was adopted by the Agency for Cultural Affairs' “Japan Cultural Expo“ 2022 as a project to promote the utilization of cultural resources.

・Anyone can apply regardless of age, nationality, address, etc.

・Individuals and groups can apply.

・In the case of works by minors, please have a parent or guardian submit the entry on their behalf.

・Application is free.

・Please download one of the "Digital Coloring" templates below, color in the building portion of the Okazaki Castle Otemon using any software, and send it to us by e-mail. (If the file is an attachment, it must be no larger than 10 MB.)

・The organizer will select up to 50 projection mapping works from among those submitted.

・We will contact you within one week after receiving your application to confirm receipt of your e-mail.

・Only those selected for the projection mapping projection will be notified again by the end of December.

・The application period is scheduled from September 23 (Fri), 2022 to December 9 (Fri), 2022, but the call will be closed when the maximum number of selected entries is reached. Selection will be made at any time before the deadline. Please understand this in advance.
