Okazaki City and Okazaki City Night Time Economy Promotion Council held "Okazaki Castle Ninomaru Noh Theater 3D Projection x Nihonbuyo".
A 3D projection was held in the Ninomaru Noh Theater at Okazaki Castle, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, combining Japanese dance performed by maiko with images on a holographic screen and mirror boards.
The Noh stage has a traditional structure, and we aimed to create a new art space that harmonizes traditional Japanese culture and digital technology by linking the projection images on the hologram screen in front of the Noh stage, the projection images on the mirror board depicting an old pine tree, and Japanese dance performed on the main stage by maiko (apprentice geisha). The projection images on the mirror board depicting an old pine tree and the Japanese dance performed by maiko on the main stage were interlocked.
