The Ieyasu and Mikawa Bushi Museum Samurai Armor Projection Mapping

Okazaki City and Okazaki Public Service Corporation held "The Ieyasu and Mikawa Bushi Museum Samurai Armor Projection Mapping" from Friday, December 24, 2021 to Monday, January 10, 2022 at Mikawa Samurai no Yakata Ieyasu-kan (Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture).

A modern projection mapping image was projected on the original samurai armor with a height of 2m installed at the entrance of the historical museum "The Ieyasu and Mikawa Bushi Museum" in Okazaki Park, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu.

The original samurai armor was created with the motif of the samurai armor "Iyozane kuroito odoshi domaru gusoku", which is said to have been worn by Ieyasu Tokugawa during the Battle of Sekigahara. We challenged to produce a complex projection mapping that combines projection on armor and projection that makes full use of the rear projection screen.

[Admission fee] Adults (junior high school students and above) 360 yen, Children (5 years old and above) 200 yen

[Details] A modern projection mapping image was projected onto the original 2m-high samurai armor installed in the samurai armor fitting experience room of the historical museum "The Ieyasu and Mikawa Bushi Museum" in Okazaki Park, the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu.
